About Aaly

Aaly is the backend for AI-built SaaS. Your AI agent, whether Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or another MCP-compatible tool, defines entities, relationships, and rules; Aaly serves a production, multi-tenant API from that definition, with authentication, validation, and tenant isolation built in rather than generated and maintained by hand.

Why Aaly exists

AI made writing the first version of a product fast. It didn't make changing that product safe. The risk was never the first version, it's the fifth change. A generated backend is code like any other: it has to be read, reviewed, and kept correct by someone, and that gets harder every time the schema changes, not easier.

Aaly's position is that this layer shouldn't be generated at all. An agent is very good at describing what a system is; a deterministic platform should decide what it does. Don't generate your backend. Define it.

The name

AALY comes from the Tamil aazhi (ஆழி), the deep ocean, the depth beneath the surface a product's users see.

Built by using itself

The Aaly app is built on Aaly. Its own dashboard runs on an Aaly project, defined the same way any customer's backend is. See the docs for how that works.
